Levelland Main Street, the Marigolds of Levelland, and South Plains College (SPC) will partner again to bring you the Levelland Festival of Lights & Christmas on the Square, TUESDAY, December 3, 2019.
The event begins at the SPC entrance with the lighting of the trees. Hot coco will be served and the SPC Symphonic Band will play Christmas music before the ceremonial "flip of the switch" by the SPC President to turn on all the campus Christmas lights! The Lighted Parade route is over a mile long and will start at SPC and travel North on College Ave, turn West onto Houston Street and end at the Square. Santa Claus will lead the parade and arrive at the gazebo to visit with all the children about their Christmas wishes and receive a goodie bag from the Marigolds of Levelland. Many other activities will take place on the Courthouse lawn while families wait to see Santa:
5:30pm - Mingling, hot cocoa and live music at the SPC Entrance
5:45pm - Lighting of the Trees
6:00pm - Lighted Parade
6:30pm - Santa arrives at the Gazebo
6:30pm-8:30pm - Activities on the Square
Whoville - hot coco, snowball fight with the "Grinch", face painting, and more - sponsored by SPC
Polar Express - trackless train, cookie & bell - sponsored by Levelland Main Street
Winter Wonderland & Story Time w/Mrs. Claus- sponsored by the Hockley County Library

The theme for the 2019 Lighted Parade is Merry & Bright!
We are accepting applications to participate in the Lighted Parade! It is free to participate, but registration is required.
There will be two prizes awarded:
Best of Show - who will receive the coveted Traveling Trophy and bragging rights for a year!
Best Student/Youth Organization - who will receive $500 donated by South Plains College!
Please download the registration packet for guidelines and all the details to enter a float and return the registration form to the Levelland Main Street Office at 1709 Ave H, inside City Hall. Deadline to register is Wednesday, Nov. 27 by 5:00p.m.
